The room
A room on the 3rd floor
Poker at Playground has its own dedicated room on the 3rd floor. Playground lists 65 poker tables. The tables are open 24/7, so the room has no closing time. Holiday hours should still be checked on the venue's own site.
The room runs daily cash games and tournaments. A cash game is a game played for real money, where each chip stands for its cash value. Players can sit down or get up at any point, unlike in a tournament. Tournaments follow a set schedule instead, posted on the venue's poker page. This guide gives no stakes or dates.
A seat
The waiting list and the card
In poker, a waiting list is the queue of player names for a seat at a given game. When a seat opens, players are called in list order. At Playground, players put their names on any waiting list through the Poker Atlas app. The old text line has been discontinued, so a text message no longer adds a name.
Every player needs a Playground Player's card to use the poker tables. The same card is needed for the gaming machines. Players can get the card online or at Guest Services.

Drinks, food and smoke
All players at Playground get complimentary drinks. Cash-game poker players also get food at no charge. Smoking is allowed only in self-contained smoking rooms. Poker players have their own, on the 3rd floor. The rest of the floor is smoke-free.
Two more smoking rooms sit on the 2nd floor with the gaming machines. One is near the elevators, and the other is to the left of the bar.
